Yoruba Word Of The Week : Aso

Aso [pronounced asho] is the Yoruba word for outfit (it's original meaning is cloth).

We love to dress up and try different aso.

Whatever you wear, just don't be limited by what is considered as "in" and do it bearing in mind that it's to God's glory and that we are showcasing Him.

The noun is : Aso and a simple sentence : "Aso e lewa" (Your outfit is beautiful).

With your aso, be creative, funky, lovely and you!

  1. Lovely. 'Aso' can also determine how people treat you. There are a lot people that depend on the way you dress before they can know how to address you. We should be ourselves in the type of 'Aso' we wear. But, we also have to make sure we are dressed to glorify God; our maker. Don't comprise your standards of dressing to impress others.

    Thanks for sharing! :)

    1. It's a pleasure sis. Yes indeed sis!! We certainly shouldn't compromise our standards for others! Thank you for sharing sis!

Thank you for stopping by! It really means a lot! Why don't you tell me what you think, ask a question if you have any or just show some love by leaving a comment? I would love to hear from you!
