Yoruba Word Of The Week : Ôkùnrin

Ôkùnrin is the Yoruba word for man.

We all have an ôkùnrin in our lives, whether be our father, our uncles, cousins, brothers, friends or even husbands.

Whoever they may be, respect the men in your lives...

Even more so your fathers ["Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise--" Ephesians 12 : 6]

and wives, remember to honor your husbands ["Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord." Colossians 3 : 18].

Let us also make it a duty to encourage them and advice them accordingly.

The noun is : Ôkùnrin // A simple sentence is : Ôkùnrin ye ni mo fe (that is the man I married)

May God help us to be the best women for the ôkùnrin in our lives

  1. @ Emme : Glory be to God sis! Always a pleasure :D

  2. Oooh, are you always going to doing a Yoruba word of the week? *excitedly takes notes*

  3. @ A Simple Thing : Yes sis, by the continual grace of God, there is always a Yoruba word for each week.
