Yoruba Word Of The Week : Anú

Anú is the Yoruba word for mercy.

We all need anú, no matter the form in which it comes or the reason.

However, the greatest anú we need or could ever get is the one from God.

The nouns is : Anú  // A simple sentence is : S'anú mi (have mery on me)

May God give us a heart of mercy and also continue to have mercy on us.

  1. @ Matilda : Glory be to God sis!

  2. Your exactly right! We all need mercy and we need to give more mercy.

  3. Hi Funbi :]

Being a language lover, I really look forward to the Yoruba word of the week. However, not being a speaker of Yoruba nor being exposed to spoken Yoruba, I have no idea how it sounds. Is there a website we can go to to find the pronunciation of these words?

  4. @ JenJen : Thank you sis!

@ Ladybug : Hey! I'm so glad to hear that. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend any websites because I don't know of any. I have actually looked but found none. If you would really like this, I could try making videos. Either way, I'll continue looking and see what I come up with. God bless

Thank you for stopping by! It really means a lot! Why don't you tell me what you think, ask a question if you have any or just show some love by leaving a comment? I would love to hear from you!
