So...what's the deal?

I was reluctant to buy this product because I had already used the Hair Mayonnaise from Organic Root Stimulator and had not like it so I was confusing the two products. After watching a few positive reviews about it on Youtube, I decided to go ahead and buy it. The first time I used it as a conditioner and it softened my hair and reversed shrinkage. If felt great. The other three or four times I used it after that wasn't so great. Yes it conditioned my hair but not on a long term, it always seemed to me that whenever I stepped out of the shower, my hair would just become unconditioned again or something, it was strange.

In conclusion?

To me, this is a mediocre conditioner for MY hair. Again, this is based on MY hair experience so don't base your buying it on how my hair reacted. I think my hair reacted that way because I have really thick hair, in fact, I think I can finish the jar in three uses. The best way I think you can use this conditioner is as a deep conditioner because I never left in in my hair long, this could be one of the reasons I only got mediocre results.
One thing you should look at before buying this product is it's ingredients list. Note that this product contains cones (ingredients ending with "cone"). I will shortly make a post about why cones might not be so good for your hair but for now, I'm sure most natural queens know that cones can cause cone build up because they are very hard to wash away. In fact, you have to use a shampoo with sulfates to wash them out and this is another natural hair no-no. Nevertheless, there are ladies that can work with cones without getting cone buildup or too much of it and there are others that prefer sulfate-containing shampoos. At the end of the day, it's up to you. Just be careful about the ingredients in the products you buy and educate yourself about your hair!
About this product's benefits, well I see it contains some good things like, Rosemary leaf extract, and Safflower seed oil but they are lower down on the ingredients list and the cones are listed before them. So I guess it benefits your hair by strengthening it and moisturizing it a little but cone buildup makes your hair harder to moisturize.

In brief

I will never buy this conditioner again. There is only a teaspoon or so of it left in the jar.
My rating : 4/10

  1. I think this is a great product, works wonders for my type 4 super coarse hair and I am natural sometimes all natural hair products do nothing for my hair but make it dry, hard and brittle, knots and the list goes on.

  2. @ Anonymous : Thanks for sharing sis! I liked it when I was using it and it was one of the products that helped with descent moisturizing when I first started my journey.

Thank you for stopping by! It really means a lot! Why don't you tell me what you think, ask a question if you have any or just show some love by leaving a comment? I would love to hear from you!
